Vicki Yim
Vicki Yim serves as senior events manager at the Carnegie Foundation. In this role, Vicki plans the organization’s internal and external events including the annual Carnegie Summit on Improvement in Education, workshops and convenings, board meetings, and special events.
Before joining Carnegie, she was events manager at a technology conference startup. Prior to that, Vicki was an independent event consultant and completed projects for Gap Inc., Oracle OpenWorld, and Novartis. Vicki also worked for 13 years at the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), a global association of 12,000 corporate communication professionals in 70 countries, where she produced their annual 4-day World Conference, professional development workshops, leadership conferences, board meetings, and special events. In addition, she has helped organize citywide art festivals for the City of Santa Monica and summer internship programs for the Getty Foundation.
Vicki holds a bachelor’s in sociology from the National University of Singapore and a master’s in communication management from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California.
