Disciplined inquiry is the engine that drives learning in improvement science. In this intermediate-level course, participants gain conceptual and practical understanding of the plan-do-study-act (PDSA) process by prototyping a change, testing that change, and then iterating it based on learning from those tests.
Building on the conceptual foundations that are developed in Carnegie’s Introduction to Networked Improvement Basics℠, Improvement Science in Practice focuses on building participants’ skills and experience with running PDSA cycles to test and iterate changes designed to improve specific outcomes.
Offered on our online learning platform, this self-paced course includes adaptive learning modules and application-focused assignments. Cohort enrollment may include options to participate in live webinars with Carnegie faculty as well as to receive instructor support and feedback on assignments.
