Highlights from the ninth annual Summit on Improvement in Education, where over 1,800 in-person and online attendees gathered in San Diego to change the way the field of education learns to improve.
2022 Summit
We are excited to welcome you to San Diego and to the 2022 Summit. We are back in person, but we will also be offering select sessions for those attendees who would prefer to engage remotely.
Carnegie Foundation’s 2022 Summit is scheduled for March 27–29, 2022, at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront in San Diego, CA.
In the past 18 months, improvers have helped students thrive despite the challenging circumstances of teaching and learning during the pandemic. We have collaborated as educators, community groups, and researchers to build engaging online curricula that put new ideas to the test. Fixing what didn’t work, sharing what did, and learning wherever we could from the experience, we spent the pandemic in steady cycles of continuous improvement.
The Summit is the place to share our improvement stories of what worked, what didn’t, and what we learned in the process. Building on the learning we gained from the 2020 and 2021 virtual Summits, our 2022 in-person conference will also offer a remote option. We will livestream keynotes and a select set of sessions carefully designed to engage both in-person and remote attendees. These sessions will also be recorded and made available in the 2022 Summit Digital Library. Whether participating in person or remotely, attendees will have the opportunity to learn, network, and interact with each other.
Our Top Priority: Your Health and Safety
We are committed to the health and safety of our attendees and staff, and we are working to put rigorous plans in place for our safe return to an in-person Summit. Please visit our Health and Safety page for more details.
In the event that the spread of COVID variants no longer allows for an in-person conference, the Carnegie Foundation will pivot to a fully virtual Summit. Should that occur, all in-person registrants will be automatically switched to remote registrants. Registrants may then request a refund of the difference in registration fees or, if the registrant chooses not to participate remotely, the full registration fee.
