Improving student outcomes for graduation rate, chronic absenteeism, and academics galvanized two districts to begin improvement science journeys. This session will provide the accountability contexts for both districts, demonstrate how their improvement science journeys improved student outcomes, and highlight the importance of leaders as the champions of the work. Improvement coaches and district leaders will share from their experiences how their improvement science journey promoted deep system understanding, aligned goal-setting, and focused data collection toward improving student outcomes and rectifying systemic inequities.
